AGIFORS 50th Annual Symposium
Coming Full Circle

Join us this September in the wonderful and exciting city of Juan-Les-Pins, France!

AGIFORS' 50th Annual Symposium will be hosted by Amadeus and Air France/KLM in the wonderful and exciting city of Juan-Les-Pins, nearby to the cities of Nice and Cannes. This year's conference has been scheduled for the 20th through the 24th of September 2010 at the centrally located Garden Beach Hotel in Juan-Les-Pins, France.

The theme of this year’s Annual Symposium is “Coming Full Circle!” This theme was selected for several reasons. The first and very obvious reason is that we are returning to the place of our birth. A second reason is that such monumentus anniversaries offer us an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and contributions of our discipline. A third reason is that in these trying times, when the airline industry is in dire need of innovation, we are eager to grasp even a small part of the spirit of our founding fathers.  The Symposium will feature presentations by the very best researchers and practitioners, including the finalists in the Anna Valicek Student Paper Competition, as well as a “not to be missed” panel discussion with the AGIFORS Fellows, those members of the organization who have had major impact on the profession.

Conference Overview

The Symposium offers the latest on innovation in airline operations research. Among the various topics to be discussed are airline operations, airline strategy, cargo logistics, crew scheduling, e-commerce, information technology, OR management, revenue management, robust planning, and scheduling planning. Representatives from airlines, air transport associations, universities, industrial research labs, and consultants will discuss new ideas and present technical papers. There will also be a vendor program in which the latest products will be displayed. Come and share with us your ideas, thoughts, current trends, philosophies, and latest technological advances on any of the above or related topics.

Early registration for the conference costs USD 500 USD and includes the Welcoming Reception, Gala Dinner, Networking Tour and Dinner and Lunches and Coffee Breaks during the conference.
