ATL - Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport proudly bears the distinction of being the world’s busiest airport and has long served as a valuable hub connecting various cities and countries around the globe. However, Hartsfield-Jackson is also a prime destination for travelers – business and pleasure – visiting Atlanta and other locales in the southeastern United States.

Ground Transportation

Shuttle Service Option:

*Non-scheduled service from the airport with multiple stops is $18.50 one way or $33.00 round trip.  You can call to make reservations or you can make them online.  The shuttle can be picked up at Ground Transportation at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport or at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center every hour 15 minutes after the hour. The shuttle will make stops at other hotels in the Mid-town area before arriving at The Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center or The Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.  They recommend you depart 2 hours prior to domestic flights and 2 ˝ hours prior to international flights.

MARTA Option & Instructions: Rate: $2.00 one way

  • Guests that are traveling to the hotel from the Airport via the MARTA rail will want to exit the train at the Midtown MARTA Station on the north line (Railmap inside train). When exiting the MARTA Station, exit through the sign directing you to “Peachtree Place / Ga. Tech Stinger Shuttle.”  The Tech Trolley picks up directly outside the MARTA rail station entrance. Guests will want to exit the trolley on 5th Street, just west of Spring Street, which is the first stop after departing the MARTA station.  Guests need to walk to the Spring Street intersection and the hotel will be directly across 5th Street.  There is a revolving door at the corner of 5th Street and Spring Street that guests may enter, but to enter hotel after 9pm, they must continue down Spring Street in front of hotel to the main guest entrance which will be on the right. 
  • To get to the airport via Tech Trolley and Marta, guests must board the Tech Trolley across the street from where they were dropped off for the hotel (in front of Great Clips Hair Salon).  Guests will then exit at the Midtown Marta Station and board the South Bound Train to the airport.

Accommodations

A limited number of rooms have been blocked at the Georgia Tech Hotel for the annual symposium.  Online reservations must be received by 6th September 2009 using the customized (dedicated) hotel reservation process to obtain the nightly conference rate of USD 109 for single/double occupancy.  All credit card information must be provided to confirm reservations.
 

Registration Information

The registration fee includes conference technical materials*, all scheduled meals and social events outlined in the meeting agenda, and a full day excursion (*delegate registration only).  The early registration fee before 6th September 2009 is USD 600 per delegate and USD 100 per social guest/child.  Registration fees received after this date will be considered late and will incur a USD 100 late fee, no exceptions.
