Join us this September in the vibrant city of Montreal, Canada! AGIFORS' 48th Annual Symposium will be hosted by Air Canada and Air Canada Cargo in the vibrant metropolitan city of Montreal, Quebec (Canada). This year's conference has been scheduled for 21-26 September 2008 at the centrally located Hilton Montreal Bonaventure in the heart of downtown. As part of this year's annual symposium, there will be two special sessions during the technical program jointly sponsored by the INFORMS Aviation Applications Section, and the Industry Studies Program of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Conference Overview The Symposium offers the latest on innovation in airline operations research. Among the various topics to be discussed are airline operations, airline strategy, cargo logistics, crew scheduling, e-commerce, information technology, OR management, revenue management, robust planning, and scheduling planning. Representatives from airlines, air transport associations, universities, industrial research labs, and consultants will discuss new ideas and present technical papers. There will also be a vendor program in which the latest products will be displayed. The Airline Group of the International Federation of Operations Research Societies (AGIFORS) is a society with the avowed purpose of forwarding the practice of Operational Research in airlines. The membership consists of Operational Research workers who are also employed by recognized civil airlines. There are, in addition, correspondents who are people keenly interested in the application of Operational Research to aviation problems. |
